Unfortunately, most of us have problem of dry cracked feet. Improper diet, insufficient intake of water, air, aging body, some diseases (foot infections, diabetes), poor footwear and inadequate hygiene feet all contribute to occurrence of dry cracked feet.
Many reconcile with the situation, thinking that it must be so.
In this fast pace of life it is difficult to find time for proper care and treatment of dry cracked feet.
But you do not have to deal with the unpleasant feeling of dryness your whole life. Dry cracked feet can be treated naturally in 3 simple steps, just 15 minutes a day.
1. Foot Bath
Any proper foot care begins with a bath. Bath relaxes tired feet, improve circulation, brings back fresh and softens hard skin.
Every night have a warm foot bath, in which you can add sea salt and a few drops of essential oils.
For the foot bath it is good to use of essential oils of tea tree, lavender and eucalyptus because they have antiseptic properties and protect feet from bacteria, fungus and warts.
Fill the tub with warm water, immerse your feet in the water and leave them there for 15 minutes.
Do this every night before going to sleep – until the condition of your feet does not improve. Afterwards, treat yourself with a bath 1-2 times a week.
** For special foot care occasionally make a bath of 1 cup of lemon juice, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 cup of milk and a little cinnamon. Fill the tub with warm water. Combine all ingredients, mix well with water. Immerse your feet in the tub and hold for 10-15 minutes.
Your feet need peeling too. Peeling is a method that removes dead skin cells, beneath which hides the new, shiny and smooth skin.
You can buy already finished peeling, but I recommend to make a mixture for peeling by yourself, it is very simple.
Make a mixture of olive oil, brown sugar and salt, then rub it in the hard part of the foot.
The dead skin cells can also successfully be removed with the foot scraper.
It is not necessary to do peeling every day, 1-2 times a week is enough.
If you have cracks on your feet, just repeat step 1 and 3 until the cracks are healed. Only after that, you can add peeling.
3. Good Foot Cream
After peeling wash your feet thoroughly and wipe dry. Moisture on the feet is not desirable because it facilitates the development of fungi.
Now it’s time for a moisturiser and massage. Rub your feet with quality foot cream.
It is best to use natural feet cream, which you can buy in health food and natural cosmetics stores or among natural cosmetic products online.
Instead of cream for feet care you can use shea butter, cocoa butter, almond oil or coconut oil.
While applying the cream, you can gently massage your feet. Foot massage has a beneficial effect on the entire body.
After the bath, peeling, and massage put on clean cotton socks. Leave them on your feet for at least 4 hours.
Dry Cracked Feet Care for Every Day
Take care of your feet every day. If cracks develop sores or blisters, just pay attention and treat them appropriately.
Keep your feet clean and dry, try to use natural soap as much possible and regularly nourish your feet with natural creams – so your feet will always be in perfect condition.
Often a bad skin condition is associated with a lack of nutrients in the body or insufficient water intake. Therefore, make sure you get enough vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin. Carrots, sweet potatoes, kale, spinach, and pumpkins are a great source of this vitamin.
In addition to quality food, drink plenty of water. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day and your skin will be naturally smooth and soft.
You do not have to suffer from dry cracked feet. Just follow these simple steps and soon the skin on your feet will be soft and velvety.
